Production Blog: Story Board
Hi again, wow it sure does get boring having to say that over and over again. Never thought I would have that issue. But that is besides the point. It is currently week one of producing my commercial, and let's just say learning how to use iMovie is not easy. I have used it in the past, but not to the extent of making a commercial. I have been playing around with it, and uploading the different photos and videos I am using for this assignment. Within all of this I have decided to use the story board setting as it resembles closely to what components an actual commercial or movie would have. There are many different templates, but I thought "About me" would be best fit. I plan the commercial to be around 45 seconds to about a minute long, so that means I would have to cut out parts of the songs. As I mentioned previously, the first part will be about my personal life, which will be the first 25-30 seconds of "Cruel Summer" by Taylor Swift. During the rest of the video, which will be me playing sports "All of lights" by Kanye West will be playing. Specifically starting from the 10 second mark all the way till the 40 second mark. I am not sure how I plan to transition this edit, but I do plan to have some sort of glitch effect with a mashup sound. With a total of 8 pictures and 5 videos, I seem to have a pretty good grip on the timing of these. During the beginning, I will play a video (with no music in the background) with my title 'Keeping up with Kylie" fading in. Right after this video the song will begin and the videos of me surfing will start. I hope to be more elaborate in the next production blog on the order of these videos and photos as I have not done this yet. But after this the photo of my younger self will come up and then transition to the present me. This is what I have done so far for my commercial, and hope to update you guys soon on my progress. Talk to you guys soon!
