Group Blog: Getting started

 Hey blog, I am back! So, I am starting this music video and have decided to work with two people in my class, Rowyn and Mia. They are both very dedicated and hard working. Rowyn has worked with many filming and editing platforms before and Mia is a very good actor. I have known Rowyn for a while now and I have worked with her on many projects before. Her strengths compliment mine and we make a great team. I just met Mia this year, but have heard many great things about her from Rowyn. Sports impact my schedule and they are very understanding of that. Plans have been formed to work around that. The song we chose is called "I can see you" by Taylor Swift. The month of October has approached us and it fit well with the scary aspect that comes with it. It took a few tries to find a song, but once we heard it, ideas sparked. When I say ideas, I do mean multiple. I am also a big fan of Taylor Swift, so there might have been a lot of persuasion on my part. But, Taylor Swift aside I do still believe it will fit our interests as well as the interest of the music video. Which is just another reason why I chose to be apart of this group. As I mentioned earlier I believe my weakness will be filled by their strengths and vis versa. Between the three of us, I think a great music video will be created. I plan to update you guys soon!    Hey blog, I am back with an update! As I mentioned in the previous blog, both the filming and editing portions of my Final Task are finished. What was left was much needed, and this was peer reviewing. I had one of my classmates, Emerson watch over our film and give critiques. Although she was intrigued with the content of the video, the first thing she said was that the transitions were choppy. I had knew this before, it was just very difficult to think I was going to do it seamlessly. However, she did give me a few tricks, or ones that ended up helping her group. The next thing she pointed out was that the music volume was a little low. It is on the lower side of sounds in general, as it gets louder as it continues. But, this will be an easy fix. She also mentioned that some qualities of shots were different than others, not in a good or bad way. Just in one that was asking if we did it intentionally. I told her we did not, and she said it doesn't ruin the overall quality...

Production Blog: Getting Started

  Hey blog, I'm back. Let's just say Mondays are not for the weak, especially when you have a commercial under production. Lately, I have been going through albums and albums of both photos and videos to choose which ones I feel best represent myself. It hasn't been easy, but it has come along. I recently downloaded both capcut and iMovie in order to produce and develop my commercial. I have chosen to use iMovie specifically for editorial purposes. Although I have yet to construct it, I am in the process of planning my commercial. I plan to call it Keeping up With Kylie. In the beginning I will have a video of my friend and I with the title fading in. After that it will be a photo of me when I was little on the boat. I then hope to find a transition to a picture of me currently on the downtown Nashville bridge with my friends. After that two videos of me surfing with play. Planning for Music Video

  Props -  Knife - This is for our stalker (Mia) and she will use this to scare the victim (Kylie).  Fake Blood - We plan to use fake blood for some shots to bring gore and creepiness into our video.  Phone - For our victim to try and call the police.  Bat - To hurt the stalker. Ring camera - this will be used for one shot, we are still deciding what to do with it.  Location -  We are currently planning on filming in the Galleria in Fort Lauderdale, mainly in the parking garage but also some scenes in the mall. But we also decided we should add a second location. Kylie's house is right next to the beach so we also might incorporate some of that.   Schedule -  While this is still being decided on, the most likely date we will film this will be November 2nd. November 2nd is also "Day of the Dead" which contributes to the theme of the music video.  Backup plan -  Kylie is very busy with softball on the weekends so we would most likely ...
