Intro Blog Into Final Task


 Hi blog I am back! A few weeks ago I created a music video, now I am excited to tell you guys I am starting the final task! If you're new here, I am Kylie, a tenth grader currently attending Fort Lauderdale High School. Most call me a student athlete, but I like to call myself an athlete student. My life revolves around softball, it is where I get my motivation to keep going, to strive for excellence, and to never give up. This all sounds great in theory, but when you're a perfectionist like me it isn't all rainbows. Ever since I was a little girl I had a ball and a bat in my hand, little did I know. But, I do get free time every now and then and it's an understatement to say that I spend every second of it at the beach. Surfing, playing volleyball, watching sunsets while eating ice cream. I guess that's a pretty good explanation on why my favorite season is summer. Not to mention, it is watermelon season, and I might have a slight addiction. What else do I love? Pickles and sharks. Odd right? Well that's me, Kylie. Or as some (cough cough my mother) like to call me, bull shark, 10 year old Kylie's nickname. And that's where the fascination with sharks came in. When I'm older I hope to be an Anesthesiologist or Marine Biologist. If that doesn't happen to work out, I'm moving to Hawaii with my best friend and surfing for the rest of my life. But until then, I'll be listening to Drake to get over biggest fear, growing up. When we're little, that's all we want to do, we think it will be great. What is it? Independence. Welp, I'm growing up and lets just say its not that great, rather terrifying. I have the mindset "yolo", but that fear will forever live in the back of my head. Which is also why I try to live in the moment, as my grandma tells me, you're not young forever. Well, nice talking to you guys. Until next time, Kylie.

Example s of this include the camera angles, shots, movements, editing, and sound. The movie was mainly based around wide shots, POV shots, over the shoulder shots like the one that you see here in the right corner , and extreme close-ups. Production Blog: Peer Review

   Hey blog, I am back with an update! As I mentioned in the previous blog, both the filming and editing portions of my Final Task are finished. What was left was much needed, and this was peer reviewing. I had one of my classmates, Emerson watch over our film and give critiques. Although she was intrigued with the content of the video, the first thing she said was that the transitions were choppy. I had knew this before, it was just very difficult to think I was going to do it seamlessly. However, she did give me a few tricks, or ones that ended up helping her group. The next thing she pointed out was that the music volume was a little low. It is on the lower side of sounds in general, as it gets louder as it continues. But, this will be an easy fix. She also mentioned that some qualities of shots were different than others, not in a good or bad way. Just in one that was asking if we did it intentionally. Filming Blog: Scenes 6 through 12

 Today is the big day! You may be asking why? Well, it is time we conquer filming the last 6 scenes of our Final Task. Todays work load is heavy, and the only way I planned to get it done was to minimize break time. As I have learned from our previous sessions, my team barely gets anything done after we decide to rest. So, I have made the executive decision that there will be no breaks. For these scenes, I am equally on the camera as I am off the camera. This being said, I will take any opportunity I get to make sure the filming quality is up to par. I play more than one role in this, so costume changes will be made. Although it is nothing too serious, it will improve the quality of the video. One of my partners recently had surgery on her leg, this was not part of our plan, but provisions were made. The majority of our group has siblings, so they will fill in for her role.
