Re-Editing Blog: Title, Transitions, and Sound Effects
Hey blog, I am back again! As you guys know, yesterday I had re-filmed scenes 8 and 9. With this came some troubles with the editing, as we spotted these imperfections watching the video. The first issue we noticed was that the scenes were not cut enough to fit the transitions. Scene 8 was too short and scene 9 too long. I ended up elongating the time off the transition before and after scene 8, and cutting the length of the transition following scene 9. This took a total of about 20 minutes, as at first I found it easier to increase the length of the video. However, this made the quality much worse. So, the transitions were edited. The next problem we encountered was the timing of the sound effect placed in the beginning of scene 9. With this scene being too long, the non-diegetic sound was too late. So, I cut it out and replaced it in the correct position. The rest I left up to my team members. This has to do with the title. I wasn't the one who made the title, so I figure it was best not to mess with it. While they were doing this, I continued to watch and rewatch the video to look for imperfections. I noticed a few of these once again in the transitions. It took a few minutes to fix these, but once I did, I realized it was for the best. I watched the video for what felt like the thousandth time and I was satisfied. Stay tuned for the final result! Coming soon!
